First of all, I can't thank Rachael and the Pivot team enough for this opportunity. The course study content is educational, and the assignments are challenging and engaging, and the supportive team is so very helpful and patient especially with me.

The instructor, the course content, the guest lecturers, and the teacher assistants are all on point. I have nothing but praise and encouragement and thankfulness for this opportunity.

I have always had a passion for anything related to fashion but didn't realize until later that I could make a career out of it. I worked many years in the fashion industry on the retail/sales side and truly enjoyed it but believe styling is my true calling. Costumers/clients used to ask for me when they wanted styling advice and friends/family always want me to shop for them or go with them.

I honestly always wanted to be a stylist, I just didn't know where to start or if it was possible until I learned about this course with Pivot. I am so excited to start this new journey towards a real passion of mine.

I decided to start my own business because I’m at a stage in life where I no longer want to work for some else! I’ve worked all of my adult life for others, and I believe I have been called to entrepreneurship! I’ve always loved shopping, putting clothes together to create looks, and my girlfriends and family have always asked me for advice.

Thank Rachel and the Pivot team for consistently providing amazing insight and informative knowledge to help us to grow.

FAQ

I'm an absolute beginner with zero experience or knowledge in styling. Can I still become a stylist with your course?
An interest in working in the fashion industry is the only real requirement. We teach you absolutely everything you need to know to work as a stylist.
What is the course schedule? Will it be possible to combine it with my current job?
The course is designed so that you can combine it with your current job. In this case, you will have the ability to make a progressive transition into a new career. During each week of the course, you will spend about 10 to 15 hours completing your coursework.
Will Pivot help me to find customers?
Our entire course is designed so you can find customers and earn your first paycheck by styling while taking the course. This is our main metric of success.

The course is constructed in 3 stages:

1st stage — General knowledge about being a stylist

2nd stage — Work in an environment where you can try your stylist skills with real customers, but for free. There will be actual customers outside of your educational group in Pivot.

3rd stage — You gain your first paying customers and start earning real money.

Our goal is to make sure you have the ability to earn money. So, we guarantee you can start working while taking the course. Otherwise, you will get a refund.

We will teach you how to find customers from scratch and give you specific skills. After you graduate from the course, you will have a ready-to-go portfolio with real cases and real clients.
Will I receive a certification when I complete the course from Pivot?
Yes, you will receive an official certification. So, in the future, you will be able to show it to your clients.
Why should you choose the Pivot course?
  • An inspiring course program with a step-by-step guide
  • Refund is guaranteed if no customers are found
  • Case studies of real students
  • Support for live mentors, curators, and the student community
  • The ability to combine the course with your current job
Is it true that a personal stylist can potentially earn over $100k a year?
For sure! It will take some time and your personal effort to earn a significant amount of money. You might even have to combine your current job with your styling business in the beginning.

However, you can definitely earn over $100k a year! Hourly rates for personal stylists can range anywhere from $60 to $200.

Personal styling packages can range anywhere from $200 to $2,500 for exclusive VIP sessions. What you decide to charge will be your choice and should be fair, depending on your market and your experience level.
What if I fail? Will I not earn any money?

No worries! After the first 4 months, students can ask for a refund in case they don’t find clients. Please see our terms of use for more details.

When does the course start and how long is it?
It will start on Monday, April 4th and last for 6 months. To provide you with a high-quality course and contribute to you being a successful stylist, we do have a limited number of 30 people who can join the course. So, please act fast.
