FAQ

You will receive a link to the webinar 30 minutes
before class starts via SMS and email.

When will I receive a link to the webinar?

If you miss a webinar - no worries! We have more; make sure to sign up for the next available day and time that works for you.

Will there be a replay of the webinar?

Absolutely! There is no need to go to fashion school to become a stylist or start your own business. Fashion school will teach you theoretical principles, but you're not necessarily using your skill during the course. Courses at Pivot are different because they're practical and structured, so you start working with clients right away. After completing your course at Pivot, you'll have examples that demonstrate your skills and abilities to your future clients and employers.

Can I become a personal stylist without a fashion degree?

We believe it is never "too late" to do anything in life. There is no specified time for becoming a fashion stylist. In fact, many successful stylists start midway through their careers, and you can too!

Is it harder to start if you are 40+?

Starting a career in men's styling is easier than you may think. Like women's styling - you need to know the elements that make an outfit complete and how to compliment your client's body shape, skin tone, and lifestyle. In this course, you'll learn the basics of men's styling, so you'll feel confident at any client consultation.

Is it difficult to start a career as a men's stylist?

The great thing about being a personal stylist is that you get to work for yourself. This flexibility allows you to set your hours and choose how many clients you work with within a given week or month. Being your own boss also means you can balance family, work, and all that is in between, according to your terms and availability.

I have children; is this the career for me?
